Feel better. Function Better. Live Better.
Thanks for checking out my website! Here you’ll find information on drop-in classes, private sessions, events, workshops, teacher trainings & more! I passionately believe that everybody can benefit in some way from a well balanced movement, massage and meditation practice. As we learn about the issues in our physical tissues, we also start to notice the larger trends and patterns in our mind-state that may be impeding our progress and well being. I hope you enjoy the content on the site and reach out with feedback or questions. I’m here to be a resource for the communities I serve!
In 2004 I herniated a disk in my low back and couldn’t walk for nearly a month. The pain was so real and raw - it was the first time I really realized I needed a physical strategy beyond “strapping myself to an elliptical for an hour and doing a bunch of crunches.” Within a year I had had multiple injections, surgery discussions and couldn’t help but feel there was another way to solve my back problem. In 2005 I stepped into Open Doors Power Yoga in Weymouth, MA and within 6 months I felt so incredible that I signed up for my first teacher training.
In 2006 I graduated from the Open Doors 200 hour teacher training program and began teaching “on the side” while still figuring out how to balance a part-time acting career and full-time marketing career. Since then I’ve completed an additional 300 hour yoga certification, (3) Balanced Athlete Functional Movement Certifications, Yoga Tune Up & Roll Model Teacher Trainings, Meditative Yin Teacher Training & More! I also relocated to San Jose, California in 2017 and developed a teaching career here, and in Los Angeles while still supporting teacher training programs in the Boston Area. As a Yoga Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) with Yoga Alliance, drop in classes & workshops with me count towards “continuing education credits” for those who need to meet hourly requirements in 200 and 300 hour approved programming.
My classes are often a mixture of yoga, functional movement, self-massage and modern approaches to and embodied physical practice. I do believe that our mind contributes to our health and well-being as much as our physical activity - so I often layer in philosophical teachings and some of the more traditional aspects of mindfulness in my classes. The idea being that there are many ways you can feel better and approach self-care. I try to give you a few tools at a time so you can identify one or many that work for you.
Currently I teach 10-13 drop in classes a week, numerous workshops and teacher trainings and am looking to expand my offering to festivals and events on a larger scale. I do this while raising my two boys, contracting in marketing & design and managing an AirBnB property in Lake Tahoe. The phrase “you’re so busy” is repeated to me so often that I feel like I need a t-shirt that says “Yes, I know I’m busy. But life is exciting and I’ve got hustle.” I say this because I genuinely want to work with people who reach out via this website - but if it takes me a couple days to get back to you, don’t take offense!
Yoga that meets you where you are at.
Feel better in an hour. Feel great for a lifetime.
“Your classes have given me a confidence in my practice that I know I will take with me for years to come.”
