MY Mission:

Uplift.

I use the tools of mindfulness, yoga, movement and self-massage to remind people how worthy and powerful they already are.

How I Support My Students

Hi! I’m Alyssa. I believe that we, as humans, have tremendous capacity to change and grow with the challenges that life delivers us. I support people on their own journeys by offering a series of yoga, massage and movement tools to help them feel more at home, in-tune and at ease in their bodies and minds.

YOGA

I offer many types of yoga experiences based on the needs of my clients. I always tell people, the type of yoga you should start with depends on your personal goals. Yoga can be slow and soft or it can be intense and demanding.

SELF-MASSAGE

Self-massage is an incredible tool for pain relief, performance enhancement, proprioception and balance work, relaxation and detoxification (not a word I use lightly). I teach regular self-massage classes, workshops and teacher trainings.

Functional Movement

As a certified Balanced Athlete and Yoga Tune Up instructor, I have deeply studied human design, anatomy and integrated movement. You’ll see this blended into my yoga sessions, but we can work on this as a stand alone as well.

MINDFULNESS

Whether you are looking to steady the constant chatter of a busy mind or start to dive deep into mindfulness and meditation practices, I can offer you a rich set of tools to start actively managing the stress of the “monkey mind.”

Our Impact

Someone asked me recently: “How to you measure your impact with your students?”

It often feels like people are looking for answers like “they finally nailed their arm balance” - but those metrics can be deceiving. I’ve met plenty of people who can do all the postures, and some of them are still miserable.

I look for feedback in smiles, tears and collective sighs.

I see it in students who learn how to drop deep into rest after 500 figity savasanas.

I see it when someone finds the courage to try something new.

I feel it when students come back, or share their stories or ask for help.

I bow to it when I see a practitioner take huge leaps of faith or walk through painful life circumstances with grace.

To assume that the human experience is linear and/or that we are doing yoga for the “fruits” (the outcome) is to corrupt the original idea of yoga: You are already whole, you are already worthy, you just need to get that other stuff out of the way so you can feel it.

Thousand STUDENTS SERVED

Between weekly classes, workshops, corporate events, teacher trainings and festivals - I started to tally how many people I’d worked with over time. When I hit the “=” sign I was floored. What an honor it is to share these ideas with so many powerful people.
