I passionately believe that everybody can benefit in some way from a well balanced movement, massage and meditation practice. In 2004 I herniated a disk in my low back and couldn’t walk for nearly a month. The pain was so real and raw - it was the first time I really realized I needed a physical strategy beyond “strapping myself to an elliptical for an hour and doing a bunch of crunches.” Within a year I had had multiple injections, surgery discussions and couldn’t help but feel there was another way to solve my back problem. In 2005 I stepped into Open Doors Power Yoga in Weymouth, MA and within 6 months I felt so incredible that I signed up for my first teacher training.
In 2006 I graduated from the Open Doors 200 hour teacher training program and began teaching “on the side” while still figuring out how to balance a part-time acting career and full-time marketing career. Since then I’ve completed an additional 300 hour yoga certification, (3) Balanced Athlete Functional Movement Certifications, Yoga Tune Up & Roll Model Teacher Trainings, Jill Miller’s “Breath and Bliss” weekend immersion, Yoga As Medicine with Dr. Timmothy McCall, Meditative Yin Teacher Training & More! I also relocated to San Jose, California in 2017 and developed a teaching career here, and in Los Angeles while still supporting teacher training programs in the Boston Area. As a Yoga Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) with Yoga Alliance, drop in classes & workshops with me count towards “continuing education credits” for those who need to meet hourly requirements in 200 and 300 hour approved programming.
Some of my classes are very gentle and some are more challenging and some tow the middle line - please read the description and reach out if you aren’t sure whether the class is right based on where you are at these days.
