Most of my private sessions involve some combination of the techniques shown below. Whether you’re looking to improve performance, reduce pain or manage stress, we will set up a plan and track that plan over the course of our time together to ensure you walk away with a clear idea of how to continue to progress.

FIVE STEP PROCESS
I know private sessions aren’t cheap. I want to empower you to understand the tools and techniques that I have and enable you to use them to change your life for the better. Whether you want a single session or an ongoing series - here’s the process we follow:

  1. INTAKE FORM: Every private client must fill out an intake form. This form informs me of your history, injuries, preferences and gives me the foundation upon which I build our strategy. We can do this in person instead but in-person intake is considered a private session. So it’s more cost effective for you to fill out the form and send it to me in advance.

  2. PLAN DEVELOPMENT: Based on the information you provide, I develop a customized plan that includes my assessment and a strategic series of poses or experiences that I think will help you meet your goals. Plans are shared with you on Google Sheets and updates regularly.

  3. IN SESSION: In session we do the recommended plan. As we go through the session and collect information while you practice, I may deviate from the original outline based on new information that comes to light. All deviations will be recorded in your plan.

  4. POST SESSION: If you schedule multiple sessions, I will ask you to practice the things in our session 3+ times over the next week and then schedule a second session. You will get out of our work what you put into it. If you don’t do the recommended plan and/or have a lot of time between the recommended program, you will see results more slowly - your rate of progress is really in your hands!

  5. ASSESS & RECALIBRATE: As we work together we will frequently discuss: what’s working, what’s not working and what we want to do differently. This ensures we are nimble and open in our approach and helps us get to the roots of the issue / issues so you can feel better sooner!

INQUIRIES FOR FREE / LOW COST SESSIONS
I deeply believe in “Seva” or “service” as a tenant of yoga. I am absolutely willing to discuss reduced / volunteer sessions for charitable organizations and underserved populations (vets, the elderly, shelters, prison populations, traumatized populations, specialty youth cases etc.). For those who can’t afford yoga, I often recommend emailing your local yoga studio and asking about volunteer / trade opportunities or checking with your local community center. Simply searching for online videos and following the blogs of your favorite teachers can be a great way to access yoga with little or not cost factor.

I didn't think I could do it...

“Thank you for the class today. I walked in thinking I was too injured to get anything out of it. But your permission to take it one step at a time and your focus on alignment helped me safely maintain my edge. I feel great.”

— Taylor P.

I’ve hated pretty much every yoga class I’ve ever been to. I liked your class.
— A student I met at a festival - ha!

Just what I needed...

“The class was great, but what was better was that you said just what I needed to hear. I've had a tough time lately and I feel like you were speaking just to me.”
