Weekend Training: | Refining Your Teaching: Alignment Principles, Props & Assists


In this practicum, students will gain more confidence in their individual yoga-asana alignment principles. Students will practice the appropriate application of cuing these principles to different body types through clear and effective communication, while safely entering, refining, and exiting a pose. Focus will also be given to understanding when and how to provide safe and beneficial physical assists and how to use props to enhance, support or enliven a practice.

Documents will be provided during the weekend.

Schedule:

  • Friday, November 5th | 6:00pm – 8:00pm

  • Saturday, November 6th | 10:00am – 4:30pm

  • Sunday, November 7th | 10:00am – 1:30pm

This course can be taken A La Carte or is offered as a part of the JOY of Yoga 300-Hour Teacher Training Core Curriculum beginning January of every year. If you are interested in pursuing a 300-hour certification, you can apply and register at any time and, once accepted, begin taking Electives, even before completing the Core Curriculum.
